Lacey was folding laundry recently and Madeline, using a couple of her new skills, crawled over to the basket, pulled up on the side and began inspecting the freshly laundered apparel. Now if she could just learn to fold . . .

Teach them young - then you'll have years of not having to do your family's laundry.
I published my comment too fast. As any parent of teenagers know, those kids can leave the house in a flash if the word laundry is even mentioned. They also become invisable - I have actually watched them disappear before my very eyes. I promise, they were right there in front of me, then I said "wash" and "poof", they were gone. :)
Start with matching the socks.
when she learns send her my way. im sure she would love to wash my work clothes after a long day.
